CITY SCAPE
Acrylic on canvas. Painted black sides.
City Scape began as a way to quiet the anxiety surrounding a trip to New York City. Built through repetition, color, line, and movement, the painting became a place to put everything that felt too loud to hold internally.
It remained unfinished until after I returned home.
By then, the experience had changed me, and the painting changed with it. What began as anticipation became a record of uncertainty, discovery, and the complicated emotions we sometimes bring home with us.
The fragmented color captures the energy and beautiful chaos of the city, while the bold lines create structure within it.
City Scape is about finding order when life feels anything but orderly.
A reminder that sometimes we don’t finish the work until we’ve lived the part of the story it was meant to hold.
